Culinary highlights on the island of Rab 🍽️✨

The cuisine of the island of Rab combines the best of Mediterranean tradition with the hearty influences of Balkan cooking. A major plus for your holiday: gastronomy enjoys an extremely high status in Croatia. Anyone opening a restaurant here must have completed extensive culinary training – and you can taste this quality everywhere!

Here is our personal selection for you. This is of course just a small sample, as there are many more fantastic restaurants to discover on Rab.

🔥 Traditional specialties & meat dishes

Suckling pig & lamb on a spit: These traditional delicacies are slowly grilled over an open fire, giving them their unique, incomparable taste.
Dishes “pod pekom” (under the iron bell): An absolute highlight! Meat or octopus cooks for hours in the embers. Our tip: You absolutely must try this – but only with advance booking at the restaurants. Konoba Rab, Euphemiah or Gonar.
Modern & Hearty: Meat lovers will also find plenty to enjoy. First-class Dry-aged steaks You can find them at Ana and Dionysius. The best Burger creations There is, no exaggeration, on the island in Buža!

🐟 Fresh Fish & Seafood

Mediterranean classics: Let yourself be enchanted by fine squid risotto, fresh scampi or mussels in the famous Buzara (a fine garlic and tomato sauce).
For gourmets: An exquisite and absolutely elegant combination is the Lobster spaghetti in the restaurant Aco in Barbat – a real insider tip for gourmets.

🍕 International Classics & Pizza

The culinary scene on Rab has wonderfully expanded. Besides classics like Wiener Schnitzel, excellent pasta dishes and first-class pizzas are now firmly established on the menu. You'll find the best pizza and Mediterranean variety here:
