For your daily shopping needs, the island offers well-stocked supermarkets from well-known chains such as... Konzum, Plodine, Tommy and Petra available. The branches are strategically located all over the island. From our location, the Tommy Supermarket as well as the nearby Konzum “Cash & Carry”, which offers the fastest and most convenient option for large purchases.
Šarengrad – The shopping center on the outskirts of the city
Just before entering the town of Rab, right at the roundabout, lies the "Šarengrad" district – a lively center for strolling and shopping. Along the main street, you'll find numerous fashion stores, boutiques, a furniture store, and the "Merkur" shopping center. Bakeries, cozy cafes, and ice cream parlors also invite you to linger. For boat owners and anglers, there's the "Nobimar" specialist shop.
On the opposite side of the square in Šarengrad, directly behind the large bus station, beats the culinary heart of the island: the Market Hall and Fish market from Rab. Here, locals sell their own hand-picked produce such as freshly harvested fruit and vegetables, eggs, and regional cheese.
Our tipCome by early in the morning! That's when the selection of freshly caught fish and seafood is at its best. Plus, you'll find the best butcher in town right on the corner, with an excellent selection of quality meat (chicken, beef, and pork).

- The boutiques often offer a diverse selection of clothing and shoes that goes far beyond the everyday offerings. From high-quality designer pieces to handcrafted one-of-a-kind items, you can discover true treasures here. These can also be found in Šarengrad or the Old Town.
- Cosmetics can be found at BIPA Šarengrad or at DM towards the old town.
- Stalls in the old town sell cheap (fake) goods such as bath products or various textile products and souvenirs, some of which are homemade.

Rab Cake
The Rabska Torta was already being made as a specialty in the wealthy homes of Rab's patricians during the Venetian rule more than 300 years ago. In the 19th century, in addition to serving it to local families, the cake was also made to order at the Monastery of St. Anthony of Padua and later at the Benedictine Monastery of St. Andrew. It was served on the most solemn holidays, as well as on the occasion of baptism, First Communion, and the distribution of Holy Chrism.

Rope knitting
The love for rope knitting and the production of rope products was born 50 years ago. Grandfather Slavko, a skilled rope maker with professional experience in a rope factory, passed on his love and expertise to his son Ivan. Ivan then passed it on to his son Siniša.
